Hi all and welcome to another week on the\u00a0Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge<\/a><\/p>\n

Thank you for joining us for the Take Note Challenge and we hope you will join in with us this week too!<\/p>\n

This week we are challenging you to create distress your project and give it a grungy look.<\/p>\n

Grunge It Up \u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n

Definition: informal <\/span>Grime; dirt.<\/span><\/p>\n

You can achieve this by simply distressing the edges and adding inks<\/p>\n

Stacy\u00a0<\/a>was inspired by a vintage photo of her Grandfather to create a vignette with a Tim Holtz 6×8 Burlap Panel<\/a>, a new Etcetera #8 Tag <\/a>and some lovely vintage items she has collected. All blend beautifully with the Tim Holtz Distress<\/a> line.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Andrea<\/a> got grungy with some fabulous new products including Dina Wakley’s Abstract Figures<\/a> stamps, Tim Holtz’s Dotted stencil<\/a>, and Heidi Swapp’s Hawthorne<\/a> paper collection.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Anna-Karin<\/a> made a very grungy tag this week, with lots of layers, stamping and embossing powders, such as Ranger’s\u00a0Gunmetal<\/a> and Verdigris<\/a> powders. The inspiration for the tag was Tim Holtz’s Ultimate Grunge Background stamps<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Barbara<\/a> this week has created a series of\u00a0 grunge ATCs. She used for her project\u00a0 Seth Apters dies,<\/a> Tim Holtz Stencils<\/a>, Paper Artsy Fresco paints <\/a>and Ranger Embossing Powders<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Cathie<\/a> used the Tim Holtz Hearts<\/a> and Flourish<\/a> layered stencils to create the background of her card and grunged it up with Black Soot Distress Ink<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Emma<\/a>\u00a0used a small Etcetera tag<\/a> for the base of her project and added layers of Distress Paint and Grit Paste<\/a> to create a rusty, grungy looking background. She completed the tag using the beautiful Tim Holtz\u00a0Entomology stamp set<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Kath<\/a> decorated a Mini Etcetera Tag<\/a> with a collage of “grunged up” Tim Holtz Idea-ology<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Lols <\/a>made a set of tags using some Side-Kick Side Orders<\/a> from the latest Tim Holtz release. She used the Springtime<\/a>, Birthday<\/a> and Travel <\/a>sets, adding ‘grunge’ by distressing the edges and applying Distress Oxide Inks<\/a> and Embossing Powders.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Macarena <\/a>has experimented with a small wooden shadow box trying for the first time a rusty techniques. The main blue\/teal color was made with Lindy’s Stamp Gang mists<\/a> and the rusty effect is due to Viva Decor Rusty Paper Paint<\/a>. She put some Idea-ology Snippets Ephemera<\/a> and covered all the surface with Simon Says Stamp Clear Embossing Powder<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Maura<\/a> got grungy with a steampunk twist and used the Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Theories<\/a> stamp set on a Tim Holtz burlap panel<\/a> along with Viva Decor Rusty Paper paint<\/a> and Prima Rust Pastes<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Meihsia<\/a> was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz black ink pad<\/a>\u00a0to distress the edges of the tag and decorated with Sizzix Heart<\/a> and Gear<\/a> die cut embellishments.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Sandra <\/a>went all grungy with her card, for the background she used Distress Oxide<\/a> and Infusions<\/a>. To age the Gearhead<\/a>\u00a0gears she added some Texture Paste<\/a>, painted them black with Distress Paint<\/a> and applied some Metallique Wax<\/a>.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

Zoey<\/a> used a mix of Tim Holtz Distress Paint<\/a> to rust her project, she also used Tim Holtz Sizzix Gearhead Thinlits<\/a>\u00a0to slightly add a steampunk feeling to her altered project!<\/p>\n
