Thank you for joining us for the Icy Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.<\/p>\n

This week we are inviting you to create something for the winter holidays!<\/p>\n

Christmas\/Winter Holidays<\/h1>\n

It could be a last minute Christmas\/New Year card, a creation to decorate your home. Whatever you decide to create we will be looking forward to seeing it!<\/p>\n

Valerie\u00a0<\/a>made a wreath for her door. The substrate was made with twigs from a willow tree, soaked in water to make them more pliable and then bound into a circle. The leaves were recycled from old decorations, and sprayed with silver.<\/a> I used hot glue<\/a> to hold things together. I used ribbons and decorative wires to wind around it. The cherub was cast in a mold and the flowers were cut using a Tim Holtz Tattered Floral Die<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Andrea<\/a> made a collection of colorful Christmas tree cards to mail out to her friends.\u00a0 She used Simon Says Stamp’s Falling Snow<\/a> stencil, Wendy Vecchi Embossing Paste<\/a>, and lots of Dylusions Ink Spray<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Anna-Karin<\/a> made wintery watercolor notebooks this week, using Tim Holtz’s Great Outdoors<\/a> and Flurry<\/a> stamp sets. The background was painted with watercolors.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Barbara<\/a> this week chose an Etcetera Tag Small\u00a0 by Stampers Anonymous as a base to create a decoration for her home using\u00a0 Sizzix Tim Holtz Snowflakes Duo<\/a>, Paper Dolls Christmas version, <\/a>Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous mini Swirly stamp set<\/a> and her favorite color Cracked Pistachio <\/a>Distress paint.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Cathie<\/a> created a Christmas card using Tim Holtz Doily #2<\/a> and Winter Wonderland<\/a> die sets. Atop the tree sits a Fluted Star<\/a> and the background features the Tim Holtz Mini Swirly Snowflakes<\/a> stamp set.<\/p>\n

Emma<\/a>\u00a0created a very special Christmas card using Tim Holtz’s Ice Skates die<\/a> as the focal point. She added a selection of Festive<\/a> and Holiday Greens<\/a> and completed the card with the beautiful Vintage Tidings wording<\/a> cut from silver metallic kraft card.<\/p>\n

Kath<\/a> created a Christmas card for a special friend using Tim Holtz\/Stampers Anonymous Swirly Snowflakes<\/a>, Holiday Drawings<\/a> and Tim Holtz\/Sizzix\u00a0Retro Merry Christmas<\/a>, Winter Wonderland<\/a> and Festive Greens<\/a> Thinlits<\/p>\n

Lols <\/a>made a Christmas card using a Memory Box Deer Trio Die<\/a>, a Tim Holtz Woodlands Die,\u00a0<\/a>Distress Oxide Ink Pads<\/a> and a Great Outdoors Stamp Set\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Macarena <\/a>opted for traditional Christmas colors making a very glossy card using Sizzix Dashing Deer die<\/a> and putting it inside the Simon Says Stamp Birthday Wishes Frame<\/a> die and covering almost everything with Simon Says Stamp Clear Embossing Powder.<\/a><\/p>\n

Maura’s<\/a> been thinking of joyful snowmen dreaming of giant snowflakes. She made a simple Christmas card using Penny Black’s Snowman Joy die<\/a> and Simon Says Stamp’s Felicity Snowflake<\/a>, along with Tim Holtz’s Starry<\/a> and Holiday Script<\/a> layering stencils.<\/p>\n

Meihsia<\/a> was inspired to create a holiday decor using Idea-Ology Vignette Box Structure<\/a> and decorated it with Tim Holtz Decorative Deer Findings<\/a>\u00a0and Mini Woodland Tree Lot Findings<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Sandra <\/a>has made a Christmas card for her lovely friend that moved to Australia, the Miss You Script die<\/a> from the Simon Says Stamp Diecember release<\/a> is just perfect to tell her sweet friend she misses her already.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

Zoey<\/a> used a bunch of Distress Paint<\/a> and Simon Says Stamp White Cardstock<\/a> to create this mixed media card<\/p>\n
