Alison’s ‘something beginning with S’ is a Spread in her altered book art journal.  She’s used one of the Tim Holtz Portraits as the focal point, with plenty of other Idea-ology ephemera built into the collage around him… elements from the Pocket Cards, Snippets Number Strips, Design Tape Trims, Snippets Ephemera Labels, and the Memoir Ephemera Pack are all layered over the Gesso and Crackle Paste in the book text background.  The butterfly is one of the new Transparent Things. and Small Talk Stickers provide the words.  Visit Words and Pictures to see lots more details.

Andrea focused on “S” companies to make her tag-card: Spellbinders, Studio Light and Simon Says Stamp. She used Studio Light’s Moodling Tag die set and their Script and Stitches stamp set. She also used Spellbinders’ Sky View Pies die set and Simon Says Stamps’ Circle Loops die set.

Anna-Karin was inspired by S for ‘summer’ and ‘sea’ and created a calm seaside scene on a tag cut from Simon Says Stamp White Glossy cardstock. The chair was die cut with Simon Says Stamp Adirondack Chair and there is Tim Holtz Mica Flakes glittering in the sand.

Barbara chose S as Snarky Cat! She loves them, and they are perfect in every way! She made a couple of tags, one dark and one light using two of the new stamp sets by Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous: Bubbles and Noteworthy for both of her tags. She used a lot of Distress Ink Sprays and Ink pads to add color.

Cheiron created a tag with “spray stains”, “splatters” and “stencils” this week. She sprayed her tag with a mixture of Tim Holtz Distress Spray Stains, included the new Uncharted Mariner. She combined it with the new Linked Squares and Element Freight stencils. To finish she added some Foundry Wax Splatter and a Noteworthy Sentiment.

Emma created an Etcetera tag all about “seeing” the world through the eyes of a child and used Distress Spray Stains and the Linked Circles Layering Stencil by Tim Holtz to create a background. She completed the tag by placing a paper doll over the top of a Memoir Ephemera piece and added Quote Seal and pointy finger, stamped using the Eccentric Stamp Set.

Kath created a card to welcome the arrival of Summer. She used Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Bubbles with Distress Embossing Glazes for the background, Floral Elements coloured with Distress Oxide inks, Tim Holtz/Sizzix Bold Text Thinlits and a sentiment from the Idea-ology Metallic Sticker Book.

Macarena made a S-titched and S-tamped S-teampunk card using S-tampers Anonymous stamps: The Professor, Specimen, Grunged and a lot of heat embossing using powders: Ranger Hammered Mixed Media, Brutus Monroe Gilded sparkle, Simon Says Stamp Clear and White Fine Detail.

Maura was recently at the beach, so she chose Seashell for her letter S. She made a slimline card using Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Nautical Blueprint set and Simon Says Stamp’s Slimline Beautiful You, along with Simon’s Pawsitively Saturated Ocean ink.

Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media tag using the sentiments from Tim Holtz Idea-ology SMALL TALK Stickers and Tim Holtz Idea-ology LABEL STICKERS THOUGHTS beginning with S, and decorated it with Stamperia ATELIER DES ARTS Die Cuts

Sandra was inspired with her ‘Script’ stamps for her card like Faded TypeEntomology and Ledger Script. But also the Digits stencil although it isn’t technically script.

So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
