Watch the video:

I wanted to create a spooky Halloween night time trick-or-treat scene with the adorable Mama Elephant Bootastic Stamp Set and coordinating dies.

To create the backdrop for my card, I die cut the stitched rectangle (ME Basic Dies Set) from Tim Holtz watercolor paper and stamped and embossed the moon from the Winter Wonderland Stamp Set (I LOVE that I can stretch a winter-themed stamp set into a fall/Halloween design!) I inked up the die cut rectangle with Tim Holtz Distress Inks starting with Scattered Straw and Spiced Marmalade around the moon and then blended in Chipped Sapphire for the sky and Seedless Preserves towards the landscape. To darken the sky for the spooky feel, I blended in some Black Soot Distress Ink and then I spritzed the whole thing with water from a Mini Mister. Once the background was dry I used the trees from Winter Wonderland and stamped them using SSS Black Ink. Both first and second generation stamping give the illusion of depth making it appear the little mummy is walking through a forest.

I die cut the landscape from Watercolor Paper using the ME Landscape Trio dies and used Peeled Paint and Black Soot Distress Inks to add color. I stamped the greeting with SSS Black Ink in the center of the landscape.

I stamped and colored in the Bootastic images and die cut them with the coordinating dies and adhered them as shown to create the Halloween scene.

Some PPP Sparkling Clear sequins scattered about complete the card.
