Weekender with Wanda – Memory Box Spotlight!

Hello crafty friends! Welcome back to Weekender with Wanda here on the Simon Says Stamp Blog! It’s officially December now and we are getting awfully close to Christmas! Today I’m sharing a great last minute Christmas project, and I am spotlighting stamps and dies from Memory Box stamps. They have released some of the most darling animal stamps this year! I made some pretty circle scenes that can be used as gift tags, ornaments, cookie exchange tags, or even as the focal point for a card. This is a really versatile project and that’s good this time of year, right? Make a bunch of cute tags to keep on hand for the last minute.

I used the adorable stamp sets called Holiday Hoopla and Foxy Holiday. The animals and accessories are the same size and scale so it’s really easy to mix and match these sets. I created a snowy sky background with some Echo Park patterned paper and a little hill out of the Stitched Slopes dies. Then it was just fun to color with my Copic Markers. The matching dies to the stamp sets makes it a breeze to get perfect cut outs of your images.

Seriously, these little animals are too cute! I used traditional red and green for their scarves to keep the look cohesive. I die cut the pretty Country Landscape Die out of green paper to add a little interest behind the animals. You can see some Stickles accents too!

To put the pieces together, I first die cut my Stitched Slopes out of white paper. Then I adhered it to the polka dot paper. Then I cut the Stitched Circle out of the double layer. I cut the hole in the top using a hole punch. You could do this with your square or rectangle dies too! Easy to turn them into tags. I used pretty twine to make my loop at the top.

I added some white accents with a Kirarina gel pen – on the deer’s spots and on the holly berries.

Please check out the rest of the Memory Box critters! The images are really fun and suitable for all ages. I enjoyed working with these sweet images – and have been a fan of Memory Box stamps for a very long time. Hope you have a wonderful weekend. I will see you soon!
