In my house there are a lot of comic books, my husband reads and collects them. The style of comic books and graphic novels was the inspiration behind this card. Often I create scenes on my cards but it’s an extra challenge to tell a story as well. This little card shows the story of baking a sweet birthday cupcake! I also love that it allows the use of so many of the cute images in the new Lawn Fawn Baked with Love set. For a card like this I do stamp/sketch out the design to make sure things fit on the card. I started with the card front as a whole and then trimmed off the panels and the negative spaces in between to get all the pieces. I blended all the backgrounds with distress inks then arranged my colored cut out pieces to create the little scenes.
Oh so cute – love that it tells a story :-)
I love this card and the fun bright colors! This new release from Lawn Fawn is just adorable!
Baked with Love is on the tippie top of my wish list and I love Chari’s card.
