Spring is here and I’ve got flowers on my mind – I knew I wanted to use our new Scandinavian Prints stamp set to create some unique flowers of my own!  To start I chose a few of the flower and leaf stamp elements, and stamped them in Versafine Onyx Black ink to create my flower and leaves.  While they were drying I got my card base ready.  I used my Neenah Solar White to make a little 4×4 card.  To create the window opening, I used my circle die.  For the black background I cut a piece of black cardstock slightly smaller than 4×4 and adhered it to the inside of the card front.

Once I knew the black ink was dry, I used the solid stamps in the set to add some pops of color to the flowers and leaves!  Then I die cut the flower and leaves, and used the foam tabs to arrange and adhere them on the black background.  I finished the card off by stamping the sentiment.

This card would be great to make multiples of for a card set, just changing up the flowers, colors and sentiments used!

  1. It’s so simple but it’s not. I like how the background is black and then there is some color on the flowers. It looks very 60’s and that’s what I like about the stamp set. I grew up in the 60’s so anything I see that looks like the 60’s is okay in my book.
