Merry & Bright

KP-group

Hi bloggers! Happy Saturday to you! I don’t know about you, but I feel like I’ve been getting into the festive mood earlier than usual this year, and I suspect that even if you don’t share my thought on this, you will…. after checking out today’s blog! Have you noticed the bright trend with Christmas cards? I personally love it. Totally cheery, totally on trend for Christmas. Join me in welcoming the adorable Laura Bassen as a guest on our blog today!

She’s made one two cards for us to feast our eyes on and get us ready for the holidays! Using Simon Says Stamp exclusive designs from Kelly Purkey, things suddenly just got much jollier. Now, I’ll fetch the hot cocoa and holiday albums as you read on… enjoy!

With an ink blender and using the teardrop stencil, I blended in pear tart ink onto juicy pear cardstock. Then I die cut the deer onto woodgrain carstock. I mounted both the sentiment sticker and deer with foam tape and added some enamel dots to the deer antlers.

  1. Love the circles card. The colors are so bright and warming. The deer head is great. thanks for the idea of decorating the horns for Christmas. Will use that on some of the heads I have.

  2. I just love what you did with the stencils. The bright colors and overlapping on the second card is just beautiful! Thanks for sharing.

  3. I really like the wood grain card stock! I am going to have to order myself some of that for die-cutting. I think it would be a great alternative to wood veneers!
