Hello Crafters! I’m so excited to be back guesting on the Simon Says Stamp blog!

They have had such an awesome release (Create Joy) recently and I’m using some gorgeous sets from it :)

I started with the idea of replacing the “O” in Joy from Big Create Joy with a beautiful wreath from the Autumn Blessings stamp set. I love the look of these gorgeous wreaths stamped in dye ink but I wanted to bring a little oomph to the images with some Copic coloring. I love how doing this can help make a solid image more unique. I used second generation stamping as a foundation to bring in some shading with my markers. Even though the stamped images are all one layer adding a bit of shading can really help them jump off the page.

I created a fun video tutorial for you guys. I hope you enjoy!

I just love a simple one layer panel and these stamps make it so easy!
If you have any questions please let me know in the comments below. I’ll be stopping by to answer any that are left all week.

Thank you so much to Simon Says Stamp for having me! It’s been a real honor!

  1. This is in regards to Kelly Latevola’s “Joy to the World” card. I throughly enjoyed the video, and learned a few new tricks. What a BEAUTIFUL card without all the glitz and glam. Thank you for showing how great a card can be with just some stamps, ink and ingenuity.

  2. You fill find out that many songs have certain messages the artists send to the world.

After all, these artists generally have big budgets behind them.

The vocals are very ambient and sound as if they’re part of the instrumental.
