Hero Arts Monthly Kit: Advent Calendar

Welcome to the Simon Says Stamp blog.

Today we are part of the My Monthly Hero Blog Hop, celebrating the new November kit from Hero Arts.

I’ve played with the add-ons that are available in the Simon Says Stamp store to create an advent calendar… not a typical calendar, but one with hanging gifts.

I’ve used the Number It Stamp and Cut set (DC201) to create the count down days (white embossed) and placed them onto different die cut tags from the DC200 Little Messages Stamp & Cut set.

I’ve mixed pattern papers of red, kraft, teal and white for a nice variety of color and tied each of my gifts to the hanger with coordinating twine and cord.

I have put together a video showing an up-close look at some of my tags and gift bags. You can watch it below or on our YouTube Channel.

Enjoy!!!

  1. Brilliant! Such a unique idea and it looks so beautiful! Seems like it’ll be just as fun to make as it would be to open up all the little goodies :)

  2. Shari this truly is an elegant advent calendar. I love it. What a nice gift for some one you love that lives alone??

  3. How creative you are. I just love the idea of using the kit to make an advent calendar. Thank you for the inspiration.

  4. A wonderful advent tree.
    It’s more compact and doesn’t take a
lot of room and it’s crowded with
    all kinds of goodies.
    Fantastic project.
    thanks for sharing.

  5. What a neat idea! It’s like a holiday Advent mobile. Very creative! Thank you for sharing your work, and participating in the giveaway. I’m hoping to win to share with my mother :-)

  6. You are very good at creating a calendar, but now calendars are trying to use the most time efficiently, and I use this site https://printablecalendar.net/ where the best calendar options for printing are collected, since there are many of them, you can choose any calendar exactly to your liking, and you can minutes to print a ready-made calendar with a great design!
