Hi there! I’m so happy to be back on the Simon Says Stamp blog to share some inspiration with all of you! My card today features the die-cut inlay technique using the fabulous Hero Arts Palm Die.

To create the card I die cut the palm twice — once from white cardstock and once from kraft cardstock. Then I used the negative piece left from the kraft cardstock and adhered it to a piece of copy paper. (Be sure to save any little filler pieces that might need to placed in later!) Then I inked up the white palm with Peacock Feather Distress Ink and then spritzed it with some Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine. And then I inlaid the colored palm onto the kraft piece for a perfectly smooth finish.

I created a window with my craft knife for the gold heat embossed sentiment to show through. I just love the font mix on this sentiment…and the others in the set are pretty great, too! To finish off the card I added a gold glitter strip to the top of the card and a few more drops of Gold Color Shine.

A big thanks to Simon for having me today! Hope you all have a wonderful day!

  5. Actually it is not difficult for me to choose a favorite feature. It is …..(drumroll) inlay! I am wild about the die inlay technique. Great job!

  6. I’ve never tried inlay, but I love the look. I need to look at my dies and try it. Your card is beautiful . I think the leaves turned out so pretty. TFS.

  7. Observers maintain the item displays a new coherent approach, one
thing thus low in your culture, that it’s not necessarily realised by simply
all. But unfortunately not every request will get approved.
