Hi everyone! It’s Friday and that means it’a time for Color Coordinates! This week is Dark Chocolate!

I’m a HUGE fan of brown tones. Dark Chocolate is one perfect brown! Not to red, not too green… just right! Finding coordinating products for this was easy,I went with rich earth tones and also found some fantastic nuetral embellishments.

I’ve put together my walk through video plus explain how I used some of the product for my card. Enjoy!

I created my card using a few circle dies as the focal point, both are from Simon Says Stamp, the larger one is from the Hexagon Pattern Die set and the smaller is from the Circle on a Line set. I loved the Take a Hike paper from Simple Stories, it was perfect for this arrangement.

I added a few embellishments to my arrangement starting with the Urban Metal badge for Lily Bee Designs, and the Wood Dots from the Just Splendid My Mind’s Eyes collection.

Putting everything together was simple using the coordinating products. :o)

Have a great week-end!

  1. This is gorgeous! I use chocolate brown on so many of my cards. I really love the little wooden butterfly too!

  2. I’m not particularly fond of brown, although I do love dark chocolate LOL, but you make these colours work so well together, Shari! I so love this colour coordinates series!

  3. You had me at “dark chocolate” in the post title. ;-) I love using browns, autumn colors and neutrals. They’re so much more in my personal color palette than pinks and purples, and make lovely masculine cards. Lovely, as always, Shari.

  4. I am still loving browns too, though the fashion world seems to have moved on to navy. And I am rediscovering basic shapes like circles and squares. So versatile in cardmaking. Thanks for some great inspiration today.

  5. Something as small as a custom badge can be extremely useful to the one using it and others around him. It can be mighty helpful in identification of a person.
