Copic Coloring WOW Factor

Hi readers! Today we have some fun inspiration from Sandy Allnock to show you how you can really add some WOW to your colored image!

Enjoy!

Hi everyone! It’s Sandy Allnock, back to visit with you again with some more Copic coloring fun. Today, though, we won’t be using markers as much as the tools to AMP UP our coloring!

I originally filmed the coloring of the whole image, but we’d have been here forever, so I’m just sharing the finishing touches with you here. You can do this on *any* image you’re coloring – flowers, people, scenes, monsters, snowmen. Anything can be amped up! Some of my favorite tools for that are the Copic Multiliner Pens now in the store, a white pen, and a colorless blender marker. Add on some Glossy Accents (did you know it comes in ateeny bottle? Less clogging!) and you can really make a stamped image SING.

Here’s the before and after of Tilda and Dexter the Dragon – I used the Nob Hill 6×6, Talk Bubbles, and Small Love You dies from Simon.

On the closeup, you can see the real difference all that detail makes – cleaning up edges, darkening shadow lines, adding texture to the dress, and that pop of white.

In this side view, even the shine of the Glossy Accents can be seen adding a little sparkle!

I hope you enjoy the video showing how to add all this delicious detail!

  1. Oh, how I wish that I could afford to get Copics, unfortunately It’s not going to happen being on a carers pension. What an amazing job on this card, sometimes it’s the little things that make something go from great to fantastic. Thanks for sharing this and I will have to watch the video again later a few more times.

  2. Thank you, Sandy! This is something I knew deep down, but never did. It will really improve my coloring. So happy you posted this.

  3. Amazing how those details transform the image. This goes hand in hand with the awesome tips that were shared in the online card class for copics. Thanks, Sandy, for sharing!

  4. Sandy always amazes me with her fabulous coloring. I’ll practicing with my copics. Practice makes perfect.

  5. Stunning! I’ve been scrap booking for a few years and then stopped for too many years, just getitng back into it in the last year and following these blog alerts when I get a chance. I kept noticing so much hype about coloring and online card classes and copic markers and thought – what are these markers and how are they used? NOW I see – Wow, so cool to watch how she blended them and though the stamp is not really my preference, it’s still cute. I’m loving learning new things since following SSS! Thanks.

  6. I’m too lazy to colour my stamped images but I appreciate the effort when others do it. I follow the blog by email.

  7. GORGEOUS!!!
THANK YOU for sharing your WOW factor Sandy!!!
ONE DAY I will get some Copics and look forward to adding some extra WOW to my cards too :)
