A Waffle Flower Trio

Hi readers! Happy Sunday! We’re honored to be featuring three different cards by three different Waffle Flower designers on the blog today! Please join me in a big Simon welcome to Tessa Wise, Lorena Canto, and Katie Gehring! Now let’s get to the inspiration!

Enjoy!

Tessa Christmas Shark Closeup

Even sharks are excited about Christmas! I combined the fun Tiger & Lily Stamp Set with the adorable accessories from the Stockings Stamp Set to create this tropical Christmas card. I stamped out each image and colored them with Chameleon markers. Then, I die-cut everything with the matching die-cuts. I added a strip of brightly colored lace tape to my snowy desert island to really make it pop!

I started with a white card base, where I stamped at the bottom edge the solid and polka dot stripes from Pattern Play stamp set using yellow and black inks.  Next, I worked on a white panel. I sponged Tumbled Glass Distress Ink on the center of the panel and drew the banner lines/strings with a black pen (I used a plate as my guide). I stamped and colored with Copic markers the monkey, hat and bananas from Willy & Friends stamp set, and die cut them with the coordinating dies. Adhered everything in place, using foam tape for the monkey.

For the sentiment I did a little masking so I could build a custom one. The “Thank you” comes from How we Roll stamp set and the “a bunch” is part of a sentiment from Willy & Friends. As finishing touches, I added glitter to the bananas with a Wink of Stella clear glitter pen, and added Glossy Accents to the hat.

I stamped the gift bags using stamps from the Little Gifts stamp set and A Homemade Christmas stamp set on white card stock. I trimmed the bags out with scissors and attached a piece of crochet string as the bag handle. I secured the string handle using a bit of washi tape on the back. I adhered the bags to a white card stock rectangle trimmed to 4″ x 5.25″ and stamped the “Merry Christmas” sentiment from the Stocking Stamp set. I rounded the corners of the white card stock rectangle and adhered it to a note card made from red card stock
