A Very Hero Arts Holiday + Lots of Blog Candy Winners!

013

What to do when you’ve got holiday crafting to do and are short on time, inspiration, or just want things done simply? It’s Hero Arts to the rescue! Today in my final holiday crafting installment, I’m back (May Flaum) to share two gift giving ideas made quick thanks to my trusty Hero Arts stamps!

002

First up, I have a cardboard coffee sleeve that I’ve painted red as a base. This is my favorite way to present coffee gift cards – in a fancy sleeve! Use liquid adhesive or double sided tape just along the bottom opening to create a sealed pocket for your card. Then decorate as you please. Note that the little tree stamp is embossed with green embossing powder. This particular stamp is retired – but not to worry! Hero has loads of little tree stamps to choose from!

I chose to use the Hero Arts Merry Christmas and trees stamps to really make this pop. My finishing touch? A Hero Arts felt tree. I love the texture and dimension this adds.

Speaking of texture, another favorite way to present a gift to a loved one is by decorating a simple box. I love doing this because the box will be reusable, and there are no gift wrap supplies required!

009

First I stenciled (using a foam blending tool and green Hero Arts ink) the top of the box, then I added my stamped sentiment, tree, and a few other bits and pieces.

What I love about this quick and easy gift wrap project is that it is so adjustable for any size, shape, or style of container! From adding many layers and a big tag to keeping things simple with just one or two attached items – this project is super fun to make and whomever receives it will adore the homemade touch as well.

I hope you’ve enjoyed the holiday stamping ideas I’ve shared with you this month, and I wish you a December full of very happy (holiday) crafting!

  1. I love it when I see those trees on the things you’re making May, since I know that is one of the supplies that you said you wanted to get used up from class! SO great!

  2. Wonderful projects today! Christmas will be here before you know it! Thanks for the inspiration. Congrats to all the winners. Happy dance for you all!

  3. Love the coffee wrap gift card idea. It’s on my to do list now. Congrats to all the winners and thanks to Simon Says for the opportunity to win.

  4. I’ve got a few sleeves in my stash that I like to use in homemade journals. I never thought of using one as a gift card holder!

  5. This is such a cool idea, May, or should I say HOT!! I really like the gift card holder. Your felt pieces and buttons make it so cute.

  6. So pretty. I have always liked projects that use a doily(s). Love the bling you added to your package and the fact that it has the ability to be adjusted depending on the size of container needed.

  7. Hi May. The coffee sleeve/gift card holder is awesome. I also make unique gift card holders and I LOVE this one because EVERYONE loves Tim’s cards! LOL (Oh, to be Canadian!)
The box is very nice as well! Good job!
