Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Thank you for joining us for the ‘Whatever The Weather’ Challenge and we hope you will join in with us this week too!
This week we are challenging you to create something using this lovely Easter/Spring Inspired Mood Board as your inspiration.
This gorgeous mood board has been made by the lovely Zoey. Lots of pics to use for your inspiration!
As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away a $50 gift voucher to one randomly selected winner to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store
Bonnie used a We R Memory Keepers Gift Bag Punch Board to make the bags and then used Tim Holtz Stitched Ovals Dies to create the eggs. She used a Tim Holtz Mini Bunny and Bow Set and decorated with Distress Oxide inks, Fabulous Flourishes and finished with ‘Enjoy’ from a Traveler Words Die
Anna-Karin was inspired to make a golden yellow Easter tag celebrating spring. The background was done with Distress Oxides and the beautiful flower stamps come from Tim Holtz’s Flower Garden and Mini Bouquet sets.
Barbara used Tim Holtz Sizzix Gift Card Bag to create a little collection for her Easter wishes! She made these little bags with Tim Holtz Idea-ology 8 x 8 Paper Stash Etcetera Paperie, Tim Holtz Sizzix Springtime Thinlits and Embossing Folder and Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Ornate Trims.
Cathie created an Easter themed art journal page in her Dylusions 5×8 Art Journal. The background was created using Paper Artsy’s A Bit Jaded and Golden Sands Infusions pigments and the flowers are from the Paper Artsy Jofy 32, 33, and 45 stamp sets.
Emma’s vintage style burlap panel is full of the joys of spring! She created dimensional flowers using the Funky Florals 3 die set and added them to a Baseboard Frame layered over the top of Worn Wallpaper.
Kath was inspired by thoughts of Spring arriving in her garden to create an art journal page in her Dylusions Creative Journal using Tim Holtz Distress Resist Spray, Idea-ology Botanical Collage Paper and a selection of Idea-ology Block Upper, Block Lower and Cut Out Lower Cling Foam Stamps
Lols made an Easter card using the little bunny and the colours of the flowers and eggs as her inspiration. She created a background using Yupo Translucent Paper and Alcohol Inks and used a Simon’s Exclusive Picture Book Bunny and Tim Holtz Wildflower Dies to create the meadow scene.
Macarena got inspired by the color of the eggs and the cute bunny picture. Her background is a Simon Says Stamp Grid Background stamp embossed in white and colored with Distress Oxide Inks. The flowers are made with CAS-ual Fridays 4 Petals set die and attached in a cool way to the base.
Maura made an Easter card, inspired by the bunny and beautiful spring colors, using Simon Says Stamp’s Bunny Hugs die, Some Bunny and Showers and Flowers stamp sets, along with Pink and Main’s Beach Babe papers and 28 Lilac Lane Rainbow Unicorn shaker mix.
Sandra went crazy with all kinds of butterflies from very small of the Butterfly Frenzy die and very big with the Layered Butterfly. With Infusions and Distress Oxide she gave them soft Spring like colors.
So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!

We have 4 artists in the Designer Spotlight for the Whatever The Weather Challenge!
#15 Red Queen Art Creations – Kath says: I loved the simplicity of this beautiful project created with acrylic paint and a cotton wool ball. The simple images and sentiment stamped in black really complement the gorgeous moody sky.
– Sandra says: Oh wow, this is so pretty and so dramatic, love the contrast between the darker colors and the lighter colors! The sky is amazing, it’s absolutely gorgeous!
#102 Heatherwell Designs – Cathie says: Anne created an amazing work of art! The beautiful cottage scene she created, using masking techniques along with her watercoloring skills, is simply breathtaking. The sky reminds me of the struggle of the seasons where Winter reluctantly gives way to Spring, but Spring ultimately triumphs. It’s awesome! She’s provided a complete tutorial that you won’t want to miss.
#119 Cathy R. – Maura says: Cathy’s card totally captures the feel of March weather for me right now. It will immediately remind you of that extremely windy and blustery day we’ve all experienced. She created a moody, flowing grey background on her card, and then used bright yellow and red with the girl and her umbrella that catches your eye. Be sure to check out her wonderful card!
#161 Paula Roomer – Barbara says: Paula’s work captured my eyes and my heart! I love how she interpreted our challenge! I adore colors she used, her work is absolutely full of life, design is wonderful and textures perfect and so beautiful!
