Hi friends! Happy Tuesday! Please welcome back the talented folks at Concord & 9th for some fabulous inspiration showcasing their brand new release for this month! Read on for more information, and enjoy!!
We’re so excited about our newest May release at Concord & 9th! We have an exciting assortment of some summery products and some trendy products to share with you. We’ve made a card for each product bundle in the release…we hope you enjoy!
This card features the heart-shaped geode as the “rock” star. The open line makes for the perfect space to loosely watercolor in a cool blue/green palette. We used the larger geode design to subtly create a backdrop. Aside from a few minutes of watercoloring, this card came together relatively quickly and creates an impact!
Next up, our Mix Tape stamp & die bundle! This is a fun summery, retro throwback to the days of making mix tapes for a friend. We thought through all the details of a cassette tape with this set but made sure the sentiments are great for any occasion.
The card we made features color blocking with a yardstick in a classic chevron pattern. We used the fill-in stamps to finish off the cassette tape, then stamped some sentiments on the gray to add a little more depth to the background and it was complete. To make the cassette stand out a little more, we backed it with a piece a dark gray cardstock. This has been a really fun set!
Our third bundle in the May line up is the Bold & Brushy stamp bundle. These two 4×8” sets are packed with so much goodness. A few years ago, we came out with Sophisticated Script and it has been a huge hit. We decided it was time to introduce a more playful hand-lettered look with Bold & Brushy script sets.
For this card, we created a simple “Love you” card that uses both the upper and lower case fonts. It’s so simple to align and create custom sentiments for any type of card! If you love the hand-lettered look but haven’t quite been able to do it on your own, then you’ll want this set for sure!
Last, but absolutely not least, we have our featured turnabout for the month with Retro Petals Turnabout stamp & STENCIL bundle. This month we included a coordinating stencil to go with our turnabout to use for various techniques. You can use the turnabout stencil all by itself, or replace one of the layers of your stamped image with embossing paste or other fun mediums.
The card was made using the stamp to create the background. We went with a summery palette of primary colors in soft tones. It created the perfect backdrop for the huge HUGS sentiment we made using the stencils. The corally yellow ombre was created simply with the stencil. We shifted the stencil ever so slightly down and right and used a black pen to perfectly cast a simple shadow on the word. This complex looking card came together in no time at all!
Thanks for joining us today…and thank you to Simon Says Stamp for having us! We have been partners in crafting for a few years now and we love when we have a chance to collaborate. Hope these projects inspired you! Happy Crafting!
Thanks for stopping by and thanks to Concord & 9th for this fun combination of inspiration using their new products!
