In my house there are a lot of comic books, my husband reads and collects them. The style of comic books and graphic novels was the inspiration behind this card. Often I create scenes on my cards but it’s an extra challenge to tell a story as well. This little card shows the story of baking a sweet birthday cupcake! I also love that it allows the use of so many of the cute images in the new Lawn Fawn Baked with Love set. For a card like this I do stamp/sketch out the design to make sure things fit on the card. I started with the card front as a whole and then trimmed off the panels and the negative spaces in between to get all the pieces. I blended all the backgrounds with distress inks then arranged my colored cut out pieces to create the little scenes.

Chari did a great job on the card using the Lawn Fawn’s “You’re All I Knead” stamp set. A few of my faves are the pairing of the Balloon Dies with the Scripty Sayings, and the Let’s Play since I have several kids in my life. This is a good release.
