Safe Travels (September 2013 Card Kit)

Hi all! Happy Thursday!

Today I have a video and card for you made using supplies from the September 2013 Card Kit. I created a window card with one of the car wood veneers in the center of the window. I also sponged on some ink using the Small Banners stencil and then white embossed the “Safe Travels” greeting from the Life is a Journey stamp set (available outside the kit as well) over the top. :)

  1. This card is so adorable! I’m seeing so many cute ideas with the new card kit…I can’t wait to get mine now and start creating. TFS! =)

  2. How do I find that link to the window card with the insert? I tried to search on your blog and was unsuccessful ! Thanks!

  3. Great card! Looks like another great kit this smonth. (The video is not showing up using Feedly, so I’ll be back to take a look later.)

  4. I am so glad you share with us your wonderful ideas that I would NEVER think of! Can’t wait to receive my kit in the mail, so I can play!! Thank you!!!!

  5. Really, really super-duper adorable, Kristina! This card is just so sweet, and I smiled through most of the video :) I love it ALL, and especially the heart at the end! Here’s an idea for the last part you mentioned about adding the flap inside so you can write more underneath it: use a black flap (so it stays looking like it does with the original black background behind the window), and add a cute little patterned tab (to match the front of the card) on the black flap inside so they know to pick it up and turn it. Love ya! And, I can’t wait to see what’s going to be new on your videos after your awesome week with all the other YouTubers!

  6. I love the window effect, Kristina! I couldn’t quite figure out where you were going when you started, but it made sense as you went along. Thanks for sharing that technique.
