New Product Alert! Tim Holtz Stencils In Stock Now!

It’s gonna be a great week…I can feel it in my bones!

Just a quick update on a product MANY of you are asking about:  Tim Holtz new stencils are IN STOCK NOW!

It was when I actually held the “Stars” stencil in my hand a few weeks ago in a CHA Educational workshop that I realized that I absolutely must have these stencils.  All of them.  They are the best of the best of quality and made just up the road in the good ole’ USA.  You can ink through them, mist through them, stamp designs using the stencil as a mask, layer them, draw through them….that very Tim Holtz expression “The possibilities are endless” is so very true.  The stencils are a ton of fun and a really affordable and creative way to add miles to your craft stash!  Try one …. ‘er….two …and I think you’ll see exactly what I mean!  Below is an example where I used the picket fence stain to create a subtle star background on a Christmas themed card.  Easy peazy! AND FUN!

hey everyone, i’m thrilled to announce my latest collaboration with stampers anonymous – introducing layering stencils.  there is no doubt the use of stencils in art and mixed media are definitely the latest must have tools.  i wanted to design stencils that were a little more imperfect as a way to add texture and imagery along with my stamps.  so what better way to achieve that than to work with stampers anonymous to bring some of my most popular stamp designs to life as stencils.  i have to say that i couldn’t be happier with the final outcome, and trust me, when you see the grungy detail of these 13 designs of layering stencils you will be happy too…

These tag shaped stencils can be used to layer with inks, stains, paints, and more!

Each stencil measures approximately 4.125” x 8.5”

Do you have a favorite!?  Mine is the stars…but I really like that dot fade too.  Thinking about using my favorite squeezed lemonade distress ink with the “measured” design as well.  Don’t you think the burlap stencil REALLY looks like burlap?

Be sure to comment below to tell us about your favorite, and how you’d like to use it, and one lucky winner will receive a $15 gift card to our store.  Winner will be drawn Tuesday.  You could pick up a few stencils with that gift!

Have an awesome week!  It’s been lovely starting out the week with GREAT NEWS!  :)

  1. I like the honey comb and the striped ones the best I think I would like using it with some acrylic paint for card backgrounds

  2. OOOOOOOOOOO It is so hard to pick just one! There is actually about three that I could use right now on my mixed media art journal that I am working on. Those ones are the Splatters, Clockwork, Bubble and dot fade! well I guess that’s actually four! What’s a girl gonna do? Buy them all after all!!!!! LOL

  3. My favorite is the splatters and the eye chart. I really can’t wait to get my hands on these. I love how fun and all the possibilities these can create!

  4. There are several stencils I like, but I think splatters is my top pick. These really look like fun.

  5. It’s just too hard to pick 1 favorite…I’d have to start with burlap, rays, stripes. I would use my Tim inks & blending tool with them on lots of projects.

  6. I currently have the Bubbles stencil at the top of my wish list. I would use it on a burlap panel along with a little paint or maybe embossing paste!

  7. I love the clockworks best. I’m a huge fan of anything timepiece related. Great idea Tim!

  8. I want them all!! I have been (barely) patiently waiting for these since Tim announced them. If I *had* to choose favorites it would be Burlap, Splatters, Bubble, Rays, Dot Fade, and Cargo. They are all just so gorgeous!!!!

  9. May favorite is the stars, followed by the clocks. I would use them for cards and my scrapbook pages.

  10. The schoolhouse and stars stencils are my favorites, but I would love to use any of them in my layouts!

  11. Wow, hard choice! I guess I would say the clocks – love steampunk, and that would fit right in. T mixed media projects.

  12. Wow. That is a tough choice. Tim makes such great stuff. I guess I would have to say stars as that has so many great uses. Thanks for the opportunity to win!

  13. Hi my absolute favourites are the clockwork, the rays and the eye test, but I do love them all, thanks for showing us, love the possibilities!!!!

  14. Wow! Its hard to choose a favorite! I really like the clocks, the burlap, the stars; gee, I like almost all of them! Cant wait to try some.

  15. They’re all pretty great but my first stencils are going to be Stripes and Burlap.

  16. I love the eye chart stencil. I have two boys with “E” names and think the chart would be a cool layout embellishment about being top of the charts for back to school.

  17. Wow, these stencils look fantastic, it’s a bit hard to choose 1 favourite! I’d like to try the sun rays though :) Cathy x

  18. Marvelous stencils. I am smitten with the Clockwork and Rays stencils but all of them are great.

  19. Do I really have to pick just one favorite??!! A set of them all would be my favorite! LOL!

  20. Mine is the clockwork and splatters. All are super cool and can’t wait to get my hands on them. Great for art journaling as well (just getting into this).

  21. I think I have to choose the Stripes as my fave. I really like its grunginess – as if the paper wasn’t completely torn.

  22. Impossible to choose just one – I will just have to slowly collect them all! :) Splatters and Eye Chart will need to come live at my house first though. I have no idea how I will use them but Tim always provides such great inspiration that I know they wont stay idle for long.

  23. Oooh these are fabulous, bubble would be my favourite. I’d love to try my hand at making more ‘messy’ cards (I’m a CAS girl) and these stencils would be perfect to play with :)

  24. I love that honeycomb stencil and would mist through it to make some gorgeous backgrounds for my scrapbook pages!

  25. Would definitely like to try the rays! I would use it on a card and in my scrap booking. Thanks for the opportunity.

  26. These are all so fun & I’d love to get my hands on them to use with my Distress paints. Guess if I only got one it would be the splatters.

  27. There are a few I like but my favorite has to be Splatters. I just love it to use with the coffee cup I have for the coffee stain look and also the splat to make a card that has ink splatters on it. You could also put something uptop of the card and use the splatters on the bottom, like a bird, for a funny personal card.

  28. these are awesome… I think I need the splatters, the dot fade, the bubbles and the school house ones :-) they would be great for art journal pages & mixed media canvases…

  29. These stencils are all great but I think I would use the Rays one the most – would be great as a background/base for many of the cards I make ! Thanks for sharing !

  30. My favorite is the splatters! I can see it for so many uses! But i probably could say it for all of them!
