Hi Friend Card (custom die-cutting with partial die-cut)

A couple weeks ago I shared a Quick Tip on Youtube about partial die-cutting and mentioned that I would be using the technique on an upcoming card. Today’s card is that card! :)
I wanted to make the Life Bubble Horizontal 2 die shorter. Here’s what the original looks like…
So by partially die-cutting it, I was able to make it shorter to fit the “FRIEND” embossing from the Plain Jane stamp set. Be sure to watch the video below to see how it was done.
For the “Hi” part of the greeting, I used our Music 2 My Ears stamp set, which was originally included in the November 2012 Card Kit. The stamp set is available on it’s own, or you can get it in the kit! :)
