Hi there! Ashli Oliver here wishing you a Happy National Scrapbooking Day!

I love a versatile product and today I am going to share three four ways to incorporate the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Exclusive Ribbon Banner Die into your paper crafting.

The first, and of course, the most obvious is to use those perfect little banners just the way they are. They are so cute after all… they deserve to be showcased in their unaltered glory!

For this layout below, I also wanted emphasize the triangular pattern of the Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm paper. A few passes through the Sizzix using Simon’s exclusive Christmas Tree Die and I had the perfect triangles. Yep – you heard that right… Christmas Trees. See? Another versatile product!

With those all layered up, some lovely little white banners add the perfect embellishment for this layout full of fun patterns:

For this next layout, I thought I would play a bit with the pennant trend.
You see, those ribbon banners all cut apart make the cutest little pennants. Not to mention, each banner turns into eight pieces when used this way. Talk about bang for the buck!

To emphasize the theme, I used some lovely pennant shaped stickers to create my title and finished things off with a bit of Picket Fence Distress Paint and some Studio Calico Die Cut Feathers:
For this last layout, I wanted to experiment with texture. After cutting out my little banners, I simply adhered them to my paper with some Matte Medium and then went to town with paints and mists to create this custom background.

I love the subtle detail this adds to a simple  page and how it is set off  by just a little Red and White Alison Kreft Journaling card:
Now, I had so much fun playing with all the possibilities of that one little die, that I just had to whip up a card with some of the goodies left over on my desk!

See that little flower? That is made from one of the banner shapes. How fun is that?

A simply twist and twirl on a scrap circle with a little adhesive and a rhinestone is all that’s needed to create that little cutie!

After having some fun with paints and messy stitching, I just added a little sticker of Awesome because… well… this die is indeed AWESOME!

Lastly, I couldn’t help but share this adorable & brilliant layout by the immensely talented Nichol Magouirk.  She even squeezed in some awesome SSS Exclusives!
