Extended Stamp Embossing

Hi all! I have a quick video for you guys today that shows how to extend a stamped image with embossing. The “Lovely” stamp is actually half the size of the banner, but by pressing a VersaMark pad onto the vellum, embossing, and then cutting it down, you’d never know. :)

I used My Mind’s Eye’s Beautiful stamp set for this card, and one of my favorite Bazzill Card Shoppe cardstock colors: Jawbreaker.

Enjoy!

Supplies

  1. This card is so awesome. Never thought about using Versamark on its’ own for embossing- how clever you are.

  2. ewww weeee I love that cardstock. (jawbreaker) gorgeous.
That curved edge on your card is something new to see and really a narly look I like it.
thanks again for sharing your awesomeness with us all

  3. How do you keep coming up with these fantastic ideas??!! Thank goodness you share these cards as my imagination would never come up with something as gorgeous as this.

  4. Love the colors and the simplicity of this card. I haven’t tried embossing yet, but your tutorial gives me the courage to try it one day

  5. Hi Kristina. Love the card. So simple to replicate with my own stamps which I like. The extension embossing is a fantastic way to extend the banner…..great work.
Love your quality videos – looking forward to the new online class :)

  6. Fabulous card, Kristina. I have recently bought that stamp set by MME and I have been dying to use that particulour stamp to create a background, so this card is right up my alley lol. Also love the colour combo and your banner extension trick. I also think I’d better add that border die to my ever growing wish list. Have a wonderful weekend!

  7. BTW, I have been meaning to ask you several times before. Ever since you moved house, you’ve been using the embossing powder bag instead of the powder tool/brush. Is this a coincidence (simply a matter of misplacing the one and finding the other back first) or do you prefer the powder bag over the brush? (You can add a reply to this post, in case anyone else is interested in knowing your answer, and I will check back later.) TIA.
