Color Coordinates: Skyline Thanks

Welcome everyone! It’s Shari here with a color coordinate set for you to try. These colors are great for masculine or neutral cardmaking.

I love this stamp set From the Rooftops… It’s very versatile for any occasion. The images can be dressed up with coloring and shading with markers, paints and pencils, or kept simple like I’ve done.

I tried something new with my coloring. I used fun foam to stamp the color on each building. I stamped on the foam and then cut out the pieces to use as color blocks. Super easy and effective!!!

I’ve filmed a video of the process which you can view below or on our YouTube channel HERE.

  1. Never would have thought to use foam to colour the individual buildings. I will be looking at stamp sets in a totally new way to see if that technique could help. Thanks for sharing.

  2. What a fun technique! I love the ‘sponged’ look as well. And since I don’t color very well, this would be a perfect technique for me.

  3. Such a cool technique – and reusable! This would be fun to use with bold shaped flowers that my granddaughter draws. She could give her Mom or Dad a ‘hand drawn’ but also stamped card!

  4. Love the colors for this and I love the I how the stamping with the fun foam came out!! It looks great for the buildings, just like a comic!! The colors are perfect for a masculine card and I always have trouble with doing those! Thanks for sharing!!

  5. Love the look of the fun foam as a stamp/color application tool – like others have mentioned, it looks like a comic book! Great color combo too!

  6. This is so cute. There is always something new and fun to learn on this blog. Thanks, Shari! I have often wished I could turn a line drawing stamp into a solid stamp and now I know how!

  7. So glad to see this series, it’s been awhile. I really like the sparrow color you are showing . Have a great day

  8. Shari, this really is an awesome card, the colours are great together and I love the masculine feel to it. Well done as always.
