Color Coordinates: Celebrate

color-coordinates-2017

Welcome everyone! Are you ready for a bright set of colors? I don’t know about you, but I’m all about Spring and sunshine right now. I have purple tulips blooming in the garden and they are my inspiration for this Color Coordinates Recipe.Color Coordinates, Shari Carroll

I’ve channeled my inner Laura Bassen to create a yummy, bold and beautiful stripe background as a setting for some spotlighted flowers. I used the Tim Holtz Brushstrokes stamp set with Hot Mama, Hydrangea, Wisteria, Scuba and Green Apple inks from Simon Says Stamp.

To add a little spunk and dimension to my card, I used the Tim Holtz Tag Press to spotlight the flowers blossoms. These are easy to use and become an embellishment on their own.

I’ve filmed the process in making this card, you can view it below or on our YouTube channel HERE.

  1. My favorite colors are purple and green so I totally love this color palette. And your card is darling! Love the paint strokes and also the way you used the pressed tags for the flowers & leaf. Cute!

  2. Oh so Pretty! My tulips are on their way out with all the rain we have been getting, but other flowers are certainly growing with all the rain!

  3. Darling card, I like your idea to make it a little different by using the tag press. I love the colors and have been tempted for awhile by that TH brushstrokes stamp.

  4. Oooh, gorgeous colors, Shari! I love the stamps used too – I might have to CASE this gorgeous card! Thanks for inspiring!

  5. Love the colors in this color coordinates!! And I love the card, just gorgeous. I love these monthly posts and find them extremely inspirational in creating my cards. Thanks for sharing .

  6. Gorgeous color combination! Love your cheerful card highlighting the blossoms with the tags. Very sweet!

  7. I love these colors together. I would never have thought to add green apple but that is the color that makes it ‘happy’!
