Blueprint Birthday Card!

Hi Bloggers! Happy Wednesday to you!  I just love this card made by the fabulous and talented Jess Larsen! It’s a fun Birthday card with a modern twist on the sentiment.  Below Jess explains her inspiration behind making this card!

One of the products I was most excited about from the last CHA were the Blueprint stamps from the amazing Tim Holtz.  They are graphic, large scale and really unlike anything else on the market! The coloring possibilities with these are endless, but I decided to mix it up using different patterns from the Dear Lizzy 5th and Frolic 6×6 Paper Pad. This pad offers light, muted colors — perfect for Spring. After I cut all of the pieces, I layered them on a piece of Neenah Desert Storm Environmental Cardstock.

With this particular card layout, it was tricky finding a spot to add a sentiment.  Although it definitely would have been fine without one, I thought it would be a fun play on the blueprint concept to add a file tab to the side of the card.  I used this nifty set of three file tab dies from My Favorite Things. Then, I created my own sentiment using the Sally’s ABC’s set from Lawn Fawn. After a generous sprinkling of Hero Arts gems this card was finished.
